Our Unique Curriculum
New Mind Health and Care is a non-profit, multidisciplinary, life coaching, behavioral health, and social service program that currently offers life-altering, cognitive-based, action-oriented interventions to individuals with criminal histories. NMHC services provide potential recovery for these individuals and works to promote successful re-entry and reintegration into society.

An overview of the foundation of cognitive behavioral restructuring, and how persons can use it to deter criminal thinking and behavior.

Build an understanding of how the cognitive restructuring process can be applied to everyday thought and actions.

Understanding how we process our emotions and communicate with each other, and how to use that understanding for family reintegration.

Develop empathy for others and apply cognitive restructuring and reframing to anti-social thoughts and behaviors.

Substance abuse education; and focus on remaining abstinent from substances and creating a sober community and network.

Working towards total wellness and health by learning to develop physical and emotional plans.

Developing an individualized care plan that addresses all the aspects of successful reintegration into the local community.

Graduation is dependent on the creation of an individualized care plan, which will include the answers that every person re-entering society asks: What do I do now, and where do I go?

The Pride and Self-Love Retreat is an annual excursion to renew, recharge, and redesign your best life in the new year! The theme will change each year, but the results will always be the same:

This is your opportunity to choose to commit to an essence of gratefulness demonstrated in words and deeds; acting with intention and moving in abundance!
The theme for 2023 is “Showing Up in Love - Self, Kinship, Romance”.
You will experience sharing love, insight, healing, and joy! There will be the essence of gratefulness and abundance as you boldly step into your own brilliance!
You will engage in Coaching (behavioral, spiritual, and emotional), Yoga, Meditation, Sound Healing, Reiki, and other surprises!

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH & COACHING SERVICES
REFLIGHT behavioral health services offer an opportunity to learn from a cognitive evidence-based curriculum and develop tools for abating negative behavior and thinking, battling low self-esteem, while increasing coping skills and developing effective life skills. The method of delivery can be via Group Coaching or 1:1 Coaching (virtually and in-person).
REFLIGHT Coaching services offer an opportunity to improve relationships, improve career choices, increase clarity and goal achievement, identify obstacles, and develop strategic planning for spiritual, emotional, and behavioral wealth!
